General Requirements

  • Experience of 5+ years preferred or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory role
  • 3+ years of hands-on field experience
  • Valid Texas Drivers Licenses & Insurable driving record
  • Criminal Justice Background Clearance

  • OSHA 10 Hour-Certification

  • Ability to effectively interpret mechanical plans and specifications

Summary: Superintendents will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, as well work with project teams including Project Manager, Project Coordinator, General Contractor Foreman, Field Personnel and other office departments to deliver successful projects on time and on budget with the desired level of quality.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position that will typically involve 40+ hours a week and is not eligible to work from home. While schedules may vary in accordance with the needs of jobs and/or work to be done, the Company will observe a five-day workweek Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All employees are expected to be at work on time.

Travel: Travel is generally local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required

  1. Responsible for submitting required daily field reports for construction team.
  2. Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.
  3. Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.
  4. Work with the Project Manager to budget, forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other cost considerations.
  5. Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer’s data and execute project based upon said documentation.
  6. Manage work site materials and storage system throughout the duration of the project.
  7. Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
  8. Manage the overall project and 1 week look ahead schedules (updating on a weekly basis) in accordance with the GC’s schedule.
  9. Generate RFI’s (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identifying and clarifying any discrepancies.
  10. Reference submittals for compliance with project manual and plans, manufacturer’s recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system.
  11. Represent and manage quality control for the project.
  12. Conduct preconstruction planning.
  13. Conduct on-site safety meetings with team and subcontractors weekly.
  14. Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site.
  15. Management and supervision of work crews on-site
    • Mentor and train field personnel.
    • Manage duties that ensure all personnel have resources and information to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.
    • Provide performance evaluations of field personnel.
    • Manage the overall safety of the project and ensure all personnel have resources to perform their work safely.
    • Ensure that the proper personnel is performing the appropriate job based on skill set and experience.
    • Provide feedback on processes and procedures, as the company truly believes in continuous development.
